MISSING AND MURDERED INDIGENOUS WOMEN AWARENESS

In partnership with MMIW USA

There is a crisis in America when it comes to missing and murdered indigenous women. While on a 10-day solo trip in Pryor, Montana (2019) I was lucky enough to connect with the founder of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women USA, the largest non-profit organization dedicated to fighting and raising awareness for this epidemic that is hardly talked about.

After talking and learning about the danger native women face, and being able to meet so many of the women that live with this reality, I offered to shoot and edit a video to be used for “marketing” purposes. Since creating the video, it has been shown in art galleries and shared widely on social media.

Here are their faces and the staggering stats that loom over indigenous women.
